Laurent Peugeot between Burgundy and Japan…
Laurent Peugeot is a Chef who was born in Burgundy. Because he loves passionately his grand mother’s cooking, he follows his passion and starts learning cooking.
He then works with the most famous stared Chefs such as M .Senelet : restaurant l Ecusson ( 1 starred Michelin guide) M.Chanliaud, gastronomical restaurant « Le Jardin des remparts », 1 star Michelin Guide, and above all, M Lameloise ( 3 stars Michelin Guide) in Chagny, who will become soon his mentor. Then Laurent Peugeot moved to Japan for 4 years to become familiar with a culture and flavours he particulary loves. He then comes back to France in 2001 as the Chef at the hotel restaurant « La Montagne de Brancion »in Tournus .
He then decides to move on
He buys his first restaurant : « Le Charlemagne » and gets a star in the 2006 Michelin Guide and had it since then . Ever since, this very hardworker has had a lot of prestigious restaurants, rewards and international recognition. He will be the founder and the owner of the restaurant Sushikai in Beaune which will become very popular . He create the Koki food shop in Beaune and Chalon sur Saone and he has his own brand Boko patented. He also creates an upmarket catering service : LP Reception. He’s soon rewarded by the Michelin and Gault et Millau Guide.
His expertise is requested from all over the world : China, Singapour, Thailand, Maurice Island, Japan, India, Switzerland…he will even be asked to organise culinary shows in NY These various experiences enable him to share his expertise and knowledge all over the world He has also opened restaurants abroad as a consultant : LP Tetsu, Me@oue in Singapour, The Deck in Cairo.
